Dream Select Studio v0.8.1 beta released!
DSS version 0.8.1 beta is released!
Unfortunately, there are very few features that have actually been implemented in this version. Please consider this version as an experiment in combining the custom character addition feature with the hanging simulation. I will continue to add additional features and improve the existing ones.
The animation method that I have found is very useful for controlling ragdolls and imitating the desired behavior. I have created many animations, but only a few are actually useful. I need your collective data on this. Please give me a lot of feedback on the character's gestures in the hanging simulation! I believe that if I add the opinions of my game's users, I can greatly contribute to the development of the game.
I definitely think that almost all the negative reactions that some users have raised are my fault. What made me cry more than that was your warm encouragement. I was very encouraged by the support of so many people. Please give me a little more time. (Actually, it is likely not a little) I will definitely create results that you will be satisfied with.
The simulations that will be added in the future will not be given an almost completely free environment like the previous version, but will be conducted in a limited environment. It is important to have a high degree of freedom, but there are many results that can only be created by giving up some of this. You will be able to see this clearly in the next version of the simulation.
Most of the rough features have been completed, but the additional work required to add the custom character feature has been more than expected. In particular, there are many things to consider because the length and size of the limbs differ depending on the size model. Also, there are cases where the structure of bones and materials are different depending on the model. For now, we have created a system that automatically adjusts to optimize for the game, but this is not friendly to models with too much size difference. In the future, we will add a function that allows the player to control the collision range, and we will improve it so that no major errors occur even if they are handled roughly.
The features that will be updated first in the next version are as follows:
- Arm and leg options
- Limited hanging simulation (escape mode)
- Indoor room map and park map
- Suffocation and strangulation simulation (custom mode, escape mode)
- Added animations and sounds

And do you can add library to modding , it can be interesting to customize game :-)

I tried my hand in the past at game design and I know all to well how much work and ambition it takes to make such projects. Please try not to stress or push yourself to hard, take breaks, and have fun creating~ We'll be here to cheer you on~ :3
as of right now, this version of the beta feels very unoptimized and it runs slow even on 800x600 with a tiny window, when with the last one it ran smooth even on higher settings. This is just to let you know, and I look forward to seeing more updates. No rush.

In my opinion, the animation is too weak right now. Previously, the animations got more desperate and faster as oxygen depleted, kicking her legs and wiggling a lot. She doesn't move much now. And she's very quiet too. Before, she was only this quiet while gagged, which was also kinda boring because she didn't make like muffled sounds while gagged either.
But I do like that now her arms contract like that, as that's what happens when oxygen is cut off from the brain. And the facial expressions are much better too.
The arms are a massive improvement, it's true.
