Dream Select Studio v0.8.2 beta released!


Long time no see! It always feels like it's been too long. Still, I've prepared many improvements and updates. I'll keep working hard, so please look forward to it!

The update will be released soon to Fanbox Supporter++ first, and then to everyone for free 10 days later.


The updates are as follows:

- Physics

I think the physics are almost complete now. There will be detailed numerical adjustments in the future. Flexibility has been slightly sacrificed and stability has been increased.


- Added arm and leg restraint function

You can attach ropes or handcuffs to your arms and legs. You can also adjust the position and size of the restraints.


- Fixed shadow dithering

The problem of noise in the shadows has been fixed.


- Added character animation

The standing and moving poses when restraints are attached have been added, and the response animation when hanging has been significantly added.


- UI size adjustment and convenience improvement

The overall size of the UI has been reduced. Also, the convenience when changing values has been improved.


- Added Garrote device

The Garrote device for sitting, standing, and lying positions has been added.


- Added gallows rope types

The shape and material of the knot have been added. The force applied to the neck varies depending on the material.


- Added group gallows function

The group gallows now operates all the lower gallows simultaneously when selecting the gallows frame.


- Import Model

An issue where models would not be created properly if they did not have shoulder bones has been resolved. Also, if you know how to use Unity, you can make it work in DSS by adding specific expressions (dead eyes, discolored face, etc.) to the custom model. I will write a guide on this later.


- Improved fainting reaction

Added a character's fainting reaction. More will be added later.


- Character gaze processing

An issue where the gaze processing of models (Kotori) in the game was strange has been resolved. The gaze processing of characters in normal and simulation situations has been improved.


- Added sounds

A variety of character reaction sounds has been added. The frequency of sound generation varies depending on the degree of neck compression.


- Added maps

Added custom mode map "Sanctuary" where simulation takes place in a smaller range and escape mode map "The Box". More maps are planned to be added, so please look forward to it!


- Lighting fixes

The lighting application method has been changed to be more optimized and improve quality.


- Added Cursor Mode

Added a mode that allows you to control the cursor without bringing up the UI using the T key.


- Added Escape Mode

Added an escape mode that takes place in the added map "The Box". You must unlock the arm and neck locks within the time limit.



Next up on the development priority list are:

- Various strangle devices

- Maps and devices dedicated to underwater simulation

- Stabilization and improvements based on feedback
