Dream Select Studio v0.8.4 beta released!


This update primarily focuses on bug fixes and improvements. It also promises significant improvements in optimization performance. While optimization was a low priority, I've noticed that many people are experiencing performance issues. So, I've been experimenting with various solutions, and I hope they'll work for you.


Characters

- Added characters (Kanako, Kanako Swimsuit, Fubuki Swimsuit).

- Resetting a character now restores HP by body part, preventing permanent strength loss.

- Reduced arm bending issues.

- Added and improved facial expressions (mid-stun).

- Adjusted the strength of the basic character's self-shadow.

- Improved responsiveness when ragdolled by a hit.

- Fixed a bug where character rotation motion was maintained even when assigned to a device.

- Applying damping values based on the target angle of the ragdoll body part allows for more dynamic movement.

- Strength is now applied more normally when swimming.

- Adjusted buoyancy by character body part.

- Fixed an issue where the physics of the face and hands would bounce when a character covered their mouth underwater.

- Fixed a bug where breathing and stomach contraction motions were not applied to imported models.

- Added an option to set the leg spacing for the "Fem" standing character motion.

- Removed unnecessary spring bones from dummy characters.

- Added walking type to the character information save list.

- Added a feature to modify character movement speed.

- Added a feature to adjust the strength of the character's stomach contraction.

- Added a feature to modify the character's mouth position.


Devices

- Changed the neck rope to be more securely fixed.

- Fixed a bug where the limb position options for water restraints were not functioning properly.

- Reduced physics popping issues for devices when assigning characters.

- Added one underwater device type (Restraint Cylinder).

- Added height adjustment for the Iron Ball device attachment location.

- Added angle adjustment for the Ziptie device.


Tools

- Added Taser Gun to the Weapon tool.


UI

- Scrollable object creation UI.

- Improved character information UI (status, collision).

- Fixed an issue where buttons were being pressed with the spacebar in unintended situations.

- Provided more detailed log information when character importing failed.


Others

- Optimized performance improved by approximately 20-30%. When using the "Vsync" option, caution is required depending on the user's driver settings.

- Apply physics materials with different friction for each surface.


Regarding a hacked Twitter account

Every time I submit a ticket to recover my hacked account, Twitter only responds with automated responses written in macros. Despite constantly changing my ticket, I've received the exact same automated response over 10 times. While this seems unlikely, I'm still willing to try.

Character rotation issue

There is an issue where equipping a restraint device to a character and activating physics causes the character to rotate infinitely. This issue was thought to have been resolved in the updated version by reducing the width of the character's UpperArm. However, we have found that those who have already saved their character's collision values are still experiencing rotation issues, as this adjustment has not been applied. Therefore, please try resetting the collision save value of the basic character and using it again, or adjust the collision width of body parts that have a width greater than the maximum distance of restraint equipment such as the UpperArm to resolve the issue. Increasing the distance of the restraint device is also a solution.


Regarding character animations

Internal development on how forces are applied to characters, etc., appears to be nearly complete. However, the quality of the sample animations that the ragdolls emulate is not satisfactory. I am using a tool called Cascadeur and am diligently practicing and learning. Therefore, the sample animations will be significantly improved starting with the next update. If you have any recommended movements for your situation, please let me know immediately. The more variety there is in animation, the better.
